36th Evening Meeting (WRC) in Freienbach

On the Wednesday before Corpus Christi, 29 May 2024, KTV Freienbach is organizing an athletics evening meet at the Chrummen sports facilities in Freienbach for the 36th time.
The meeting is approved by Swiss Athletics and recognized by the WRC.

The events offered are: Sprints and hurdles; Runs: 800m, 600m and 5000m; Throws: Discus, Shot put; Jumps: Long jump, High jump, Pole vault. The disciplines are adapted to the categories. Participation is subject to a license for all categories. Please refer to the meet invitation info sheet for details. The competitions start at 18.00 and will finish at around 22.00.

The “Zero” edition of this series includes meetings in Shkodra (Alb), Catania (I), Sheffield (GB), Leiria (P) and, as the last of the series, the meeting in Bellinzona.

SUI entered 21 athletes; two could not compete due to injury. However, the remaining 19 athletes were very successful:
Four European Champions.
Three European Vice-Champions / European Champions.
One third place finish and on the podium.
Four just barely missing the podium and a further seven places in the final.
