On the 26th/27th of January 1, 2019, the Part 1 of the Swiss Championships took place in Magglingen as part of the traditional indoor competition of Biel/Bienne Athletics (with 400m, 800m, 1500m, 60m hurdles, Long jump). Those athletes who achieved a podium place in the respective five-year age group and met the required performance level were entitled to medals.
On Saturday, March 2nd, the weather outside was spring-like and indoors in the “Halle End der Welt” the Swiss Masters held their second part of the 10th Indoor Championships as part of the 24th Seeländische LA Indoor All-Around youth competition. It was gratifying that more than one full podium materialized in the individual age groups – on the other hand, there should have been more participants. The performances were appealing and most of the athletes were able to travel home with a medal. It was particularly pleasing and therefore particularly worth mentioning that there were also some Swiss Indoor Masters Records.
